Sorry it took so long for me to update the Blog. It wasn’t letting me upload my pictures and to me, that is the most important part.
It has been a fun, exciting and tiring couple of days. Cammi was sick with a fever and sore tummy, poor thing.
While Cammi was napping we had a nail party! Madison did mine and I did hers! Yes, I kept it on.
We took a bus trip to Wal-Mart and back and I think someone was a little sleepy…
Madison was making funny faces!
We had not found a park close to home until I happened to spot one while driving by. It is right down the hill from us!! So Lisa and Joshua came with us for some playtime on a beautiful day! Madison is just learning to pump her legs. She is a bit of a perfectionist and gets easily discouraged if she slows down at all.
This was the first smile we had gotten out of her all day! She was still a little under the weather.
Miss. Cammi had me put the stick in the ground… She wanted to use it as a chair! What a funny kid. So creative!
Snails. My Kids Love Snails.
They spent all morning playing out side with our neighbours adorable puppy. It was time to go on our Family outing but first we had to show Daddy the snails. Everyone except Cammeron took a turn holding them. I had one in my hand and Cammi started petting it so carefully! It was really sweet, so of course everyone else had to do it too!
To Signal hill we went. Last time the kids and I had been there it was horribly windy and no fun. This day was much calmer and really warm. Perfect day to attempt a hike.
This is where we started and right behind Steve's head is where we ended.
This is the second set of stairs we descended. Ugh. Yes they really are THAT steep. The kids went down no problem. Like it was nothing!
The white trail is where we went.
Half way!!
Down at the bottom its flat enough to let her walk. I could not even for a second not be either holding her hand or between her and the water. Scared me to death because she just likes to run. She thankfully didn't run off anywhere and stayed right with me.
We Made It!! The start point was just right of the tower. Wow!
The entrance to the Harbour. We will be visiting that light house soon enough.
St.John’s Harbour. We live 3 blocks behind the building tallest building with the red roof. That building is “The Rooms” Museum.
The Ocean. That tiny bit of land in the distance is Cape Spear. The very edge of Canada. Also a trip to be had soon enough.
Time to enjoy the view, rest and take pictures!
Not really planned, just how it turned out!
My Boys.
Landon in front of Cabot tower, looking like he has to pee. Sure enough. Now we have been here before. Landon needs to go. No bathroom in sight, quite literally. So we tried the out door view of the ocean potty. This time he went! Proud Mom! Ha-ha one day he will realize I blogged about him peeing by the ocean. Lucky kid!
My Hunk. My beautiful Girl.
One of my favourites. Looking at the big pond.
It was time to head back. The clouds coming in were looking a little wet.
Halfway again. A beautiful Cove. The water looks perfect!
My Favourite Picture of the journey. Simply Beautiful.
Madison took a pic of Daddy and then Daddy took a pic of Madison.
If you look left of here you see ---------------> This!
We made it to the top. No complaints from anyone! I am pretty sure everyone's legs were burning. Those stairs are killer. We were followed up by 2 women and when we reached the top the rested for a moment then headed back down again! Crazy! Next, and only because it was right there. We went to the top of Cabot tower. Just outside we were passed by 2 unicyclists! How often do you see that? They say that you are not allowed to go to the top on really windy days because a child could easily be blown right out of your arms! Eek. Thankfully it was only a little windy. Windy enough though that we only stayed up there a few minutes. Steve got a good workout from holding that door open for a group of people. Those are the stairs to get to the top of the tower. One person at a time.
All in all, a good couple of days, and one Really wonderful day!
