Mothers Day and the Museum

Mothers day was good. Would have been better if Steve seemed at least alive. But no sleep will do that to you. We had fun at church. I actually left Cammi in nursery. That went really well until I went down the hall just when someone had opened the door and she saw me. That was it. She cried forever.
Oh well, at least she is getting more comfortable.

We got home from church and everyone had a nap. Which was much needed. They, being every one but me, slept until 6. I did nap, it was just short.  After nap we went out to dinner.

Classic Cafe. When you however we were pleasantly surprised! The kids had fish cakes. Which were hands down the best I have ever tasted. Steve had Chicken bacon and mushroom dish that you could eat everyday and still love. I had Cod with baby shrimp YUM.  We will be back there at some point.

Madison decided to try the lemon. She ate about 4 of them.

The best picture was seconds after this. The sour face!

Ha ha in this I was just trying to get a shot of the view and Madison was smiling pretty when i took the pic. Little sneak!
We did nothing exciting on Monday. There was nothing really to do. So we hung out at home played in the back yard. Our neighbour let us watch Megamind. which i enjoyed. Overall an uneventful day.

Tuesday was supposed to be nice so off to the museum called The Rooms. It it a beautiful place. They had 2 exhibits that we looked at, the natural history and the sea monsters. I liked the first the best. Very educational. They had all the different birds and what they sounded like. If you don't know what a puffin sounds like you should check it out. And a razorbill. Ha ha it was funny to see their reactions to the sounds of different birds.

Figured since we saw so many on the trip out here we might as well take a picture with the bald eagles! They are huge!!
The porcupine is for Angie, Steve and I. After seeing this thing I can now understand how it climbed the tree. it has enormous claws.

Next stop was the Sea Monsters. Some cool stuff but not as neat as they could have made it. No pictures were allowed except for in the play area. So Landon checked out a game while the girls and I colored a picture. Then we played with the sea monster. At first they were terrified but once i showed them it was a puppet it became cool.

Smiling although she is scared stiff.

Landon thought it was awesome.

So he attacked me with it.

Puzzles and Cammeron trying to do what Landon does.
The view from the museum. Lovely. I like the fog in the narrows. See that little building at the top of the hill? That is Signal hill. Where we first saw the ocean when the wind was so bad. Way up there!

I needed a new bank card and we needed to eat so we headed on a longish walk to the bank and stopped at A&W's for lunch. Rewarded with suckers for eating all their food!

Miss. Cammeron. Ever the clown.

Hey where is Landon and Cammeron???

There they are!!

Huge hills

Madison with her hair braided so it can be crimpy!
An interesting couple of days. We went through the cemetery (that is just behind the houses across the street from us) to get to shoppers drug mart. Wow. That was a long walk. Did I mention the cemetery is on a huge hill? I thought that hike was hard. The next day it was a beautiful 14 degrees to start! With a warm wind. So of course I cant stay in. Off to a park we go. I found one that looked pretty decent about 15 mins away. So i think, not too bad its a beautiful day lets go. I have decided that i need a hand brake for my stroller. That hill was intense. Not to mention you had to stop every block at a street light. It was quite the walk with a view of the ocean so cant complain too much!
We got to the park to find it was better than i had hoped! Different play sets for different ages and lots of sets of swings. There happens to be a outdoor pool there also but I don't know that we will check it out.
Their Favorite Parts of the Park! Just so you know and can be amazed. This was the smallest slide Landon went on!!

The digger. Unfortunately Madison fell while getting off and got a scraped knee. She will be fine.

Poor Madison, landed on her butt. Its a really fast slide.

Stopping for a snack. And watching some guys tight rope walk in the park! It was pretty neat.

Her Crimped hair! We played at the park from around 12:30 till 3:30. It was so fun.

An attempt to get a picture of Landon and his friend. They bonded over killing a ladybug. How lovely. It was nice to see him making a friend. Normally only Madison does that. He must be growing up!

A beautiful Church on our way home. We stopped to take a break. All three kids were in or on the stroller and I was trying to get up the hill as fast as I could. They were tired and wanted to be home.

Lovely shot of Landon. Madison wouldn't even look at the camera, she just wanted me to start going again.

This morning Cammeron and I went grocery shopping and when i was putting away groceries she came up to me wearing Madison's hat! So cute! She thought it was so funny!

Everyone is sun burnt. Oops. I guess sunscreen would have been smart. I just didn't think about it. So we all have rosie cheeks!
I do not know what he is doing. But that was the nicest of 5!!

She thinks its time to dress for summer. I don't think she gets that it is only 3 degrees today. Oh well she looks cute!
Goofy girl. She is talking like crazy! She was trying to say Madison about 10 mins ago. "Mada, Mada" And "Adon" for Landon.
She now calls me Mommy. And Steve Daddy. Other things she says:
Where soo? (soother)
whats dat?
adahh bloo ahh kaa. cant quite make sense of it yet.

We have made a friend in our neighbour. He has been very helpful in us getting to know the city and where the best places to go are. We discovered that he is photographer and he took some beautiful pictures of the kids and I. While teaching me about cameras and photography. Which i appreciated. I am fairly certain my next larger purchase will be a nicer camera. Although I do like mine. With all the pictures I am taking. I would like a better quality picture!

Thanks Neighbour!

The Ocean and Soccer!

For Landon. The 19th snail we found in one corner of the backyard. Also the biggest worm i have ever seen. It was longer than my hand!

Beautiful Madison just got her hair done and looked super cute!

For Rachael. and yes it is spelled correctly!

Middle Cove Beach
Yes Landon is crying. It was once again really windy and also cold. So although beautiful, it was not enjoyable for the kids.

Trying to build sand castles.

Having a snack. I was trying to keep them happy. So I could enjoy the water. ha ha so selfish! It was a good memory for them though.

I could sit here forever. Well, at least until the tide came in.

Our carrots! Hopefully! Madison has been begging since before Christmas to plant something. So we worked hard for quite a while. Cammeron was sleeping (which was good so i didn't have to worry about what she was trying to climb)

Having fun together! It was good to see.
They seriously needed to expend some energy, so off to the field for some soccer! Landon had no interest in the ball. He just liked running with Madison.

Cammi trying so hard to score a goal. It took her about 10 mins. one little kick and push at a time.
But she did it!!!

They had asked if they could both be in Madison's room for tonight. I said it was fine if they weren't too loud and didn't stay up too late. Of course that also meant that I was up there 3 times because Landon wouldnt let Madison go to sleep. I took her down stairs to get a drink and told Landon we would be right back and to go to sleep. So he did. I was not expecting to see that!
